Great Australian Beer Festival director Michael Ward said the third event would this year shift from its early December fixture.
"We got rain in biblical proportions the first year we held it in Albury and the second event was 35 degrees-plus," he said.
"We thought spring was really our best option."
Mr Ward said the festival attracted more than 3000 people.
He said it aimed to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the many styles and varieties of beers and ciders.
"We've been fortunate enough to have created an event with enough variety and workshops that it attracts males and females in similar numbers," Mr Ward said.
"We get 48 per cent females and 52 per cent males."
Mr Ward said brewers from the Border and North East and throughout Australia would serve their best brews from decorated pop up bars in QEII Square.
He said more than 150 different beers and ciders would be on offer.
"It's the only event where you can taste all of the regional brewers in one place too," he said.
"People will travel from out of town for that experience.
"The festival attracts visitors, many from outside the region, who spend the day meeting and mingling with the brains behind the brews."
