A man has died during a house fire in North Albury.

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was found dead inside.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics had arrived about 1.15am but didn't treat the man.
About half the house was destroyed during the blaze, with police and fire investigators working to determine the cause.
It was unclear where the fire started, or how it started.

NSW Fire and Rescue Superintendent Stewart Alexander said about 20 firefighters had attended.
"Firefighters from Albury Central and Albury Civic were quickly there," he said.
"The house was well alight when they arrived.
"Unfortunately a person has died in that fire, despite the firefighters' best efforts."
They managed to prevent the blaze from spreading to a nearby home.
Superintendent Alexander said they remained on site until about 5.30am and handed the matter to police.
Inspector Frank Finlay said there was extensive damage.
"About 50 per cent of the house has been destroyed," he said.
"At this point in time, fire investigation units from Sydney are working with local police to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
"At this point I haven't been updated about the outcome of that so it's still under investigation."
A next door neighbour was shocked to learn of the man's death.
He said he would say hello to him and thought it was a public housing property.
A nearby resident, who only gave her name as Wendy, said she often heard the man riding around on his motorbike.
"I've lived here for just on 10 years," she said.
"That place has been very quiet.
"There's nothing happening, nothing really going on in that place.
"He had a big motorbike.
"I used to hear him shutting the gate and then riding off.
"I couldn't even tell you what he looked like, that's how quiet it was."
Investigators could be seen sifting through the burnt brick and fibro property.
It was unclear if the house had smoke alarms, but Inspector Finlay said working alarms were an important safety device.
