Art Partners Australia Gallery, 488 David Street, will be open to the public from Friday.

For the past three years, Albury-based Art Partners Australia has provided art consultancy services for hospitals, companies, government organisations and individuals.

Art Partners Australia founder and principal Jacinta Mirams said the concept came about after a chance encounter in Albury during August 2016.

"I walking down along the river with my dog when I ran into someone I knew from Ramsay Health," she said.

"They needed 40 works for the new cancer centre and I already had the network of artists."

Mrs Mirams said the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre art collection had led to a major order last year from the new Ramsay Health Care, St Leonards Clinic Northside Group, in Sydney.

She said she had sourced, curated, installed and catalogued 350 artworks for them.

"The original artworks included watercolours, oil pastels, acrylics on canvas, photographs, lithographs, etchings, linocuts and limited edition prints," Mrs Mirams said.

"Art Partners Australia recognises the importance of avoiding sameness in an art collection and provides variety in the subject, scale and medium."

With 20 years' experience in the art industry, Mrs Mirams said she now worked with 19 Australian artists.

She said among them was Lorraine Connelly-Northey, who had her work in the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and the National Gallery of Victoria.

"When I get a project, I relate it to an artist, I commission the works, frame them, install the collection and catalogue the works," she said.

"From a CEO's point of view, it's all done in one phone call. It's also giving Australian artists an opportunity to get in the door of some big corporations."

Having moved to Albury 10 years ago from Holbrook, Mrs Mirams took over the lease on the David Street premises in February.

"The new gallery provides an opportunity to showcase original artworks suitable for commercial businesses and individuals seeking to enhance their surroundings," Mrs Mirams said.

"The gallery will also provide artworks suitable for accountancy and financial planning groups, legal and medical practitioners, hotels and private homes."

Missmith Interiors Studio will also operate from the same location as the gallery.

Art Partners Australia Gallery, 488 David Street, will open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 2.30pm, or by appointment.
