And the 15-year-old year 9 Belvoir Special School student has turned his passion into an after school business taking out Baranduda resident's bins and making them smell fresh with his hand made eco-deodorisers.
In the past week Ben's Bin Biz has doubled in size, now serving 12 clients in the Baranduda area, with plans to expand into Wodonga in the next year.
Ben's mother Tracey Kellock said they have been "blown away" by the community support.
"We posted on Facebook on Saturday night and on the Sunday I woke up to so many more requests for Ben's services," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It kind of went viral and was seen by almost 50,000 people which is just incredible."
Ms Kellock said the idea for Ben's business popped into her head three years ago over coffee.
"It all started with a discussion over coffee with another parent about what Ben was passionate about and how that could lead to employment for Ben in the future," she said.
"Our son has a love of garbage trucks and wheelie bins so we thought we would try it with a few of our neighbours and see if he enjoyed the work.
"In our area there are a lot of long drive ways and we saw this as a great opportunity for Ben to tap into a niche market.
"Ben's business is really showing what is possible for people to think outside the box.
"Our son has some communication challenges and this is about employment for life for our son."
