The incident happened earlier this month with Rake having already missed three matches.
Bulldogs coach Brett Doswell said they didn't expect the dual premiership defender to play again this season.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Dylan has ripped the ligaments off the bone in his ankle so you would have to say he is gone for the season," Doswell said.
The Bulldogs will also be sweating on the availability of premiership stars Sam Cross and Aydan Brown alongside North Albury recruit Jesse Johnston who all missed last week.
Doswell said Brown was the most likely of the trio to return for the home clash against Kiewa-Sandy Creek.
"There's a fair chance that Aydan will play," he said.
"But both Sam and Jesse could miss again.
"Sam is managing his knee and Jesse his shoulder."
