A SHOT man involved in a police car ramming at a Barnawartha North campground remains in hospital a fortnight after the incident.

Joel Clavell, 19, was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital after being shot by police on June 12.
His older brother, Joshua, was also shot after their vehicle rammed a police car at Richardsons Bend.
Both men had been armed and police said they had no choice but to shoot the pair.

Joel had been in a critical condition, but a spokeswoman for the hospital yesterday confirmed his condition had improved.
He is yet to be charged and remains under close police guard.
He has been charged with 11 offences, including assaulting police officers.
The older man will return to court on September 9.
