Kellie Anne McKenny, who has a history of violence, also robbed the 16-year-old of $10.
"You're not getting your phone back until I get my money, otherwise I will hurt you twice as bad next time I see you," McKenny told the girl as she lay on the ground from the assault.
McKenny, now 43, was given a jail term yesterday by way of home detention, having pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and resist police.
That is part of a nine-month intensive corrections order that requires her to wear an electronic monitoring device.

McKenny was ordered to abstain from drugs and to undergo counselling as directed for alcohol and drug abuse and for mental health issues.
Director of Public Prosecutions representative Caitlin Murphy asked that McKenny pay $100 compensation over the victim's phone, which Mr Brender granted.
He told McKenny she had a "reasonably lengthy" criminal record, including jail terms for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and larceny.
A sentence assessment report said it was "most likely" that McKenny was using "ice" at the time of her offending, "which caused aggressive behaviour".
He said her home detention would need to be monitored by NSW Community Corrections to ensure she abstained from using illicit drugs.
The court was told the incident unfolded as the 16-year-old victim walked south on Ruth Street, North Albury, on October 31 about 9.15am.
She crossed Logan Road, near Glenroy Public School, and then saw McKenny standing outside a nearby house.
"The victim wanted to avoid the offender and entered a laneway, which led towards Resolution Street," police said.
Soon after turning down the laneway, the victim felt the pain of being struck to the right side of her cheek.
"The victim fell to the ground as result of being hit."
She then looked up to see McKenny standing over her.
"The offender grabbed the right arm of the victim above the elbow and demanded money from the victim," police said.
The girl relented, giving her $10 and her Samsung mobile phone.
After her arrest on November 11, McKenny tried to pull away from a detective by swinging her left arm around while hurling abuse.
