It's to be found in the unique floorplan; in the warmth of the hoop pine wall cladding and custom-made doors made from reclaimed timber collected by this home's owners across the years.
But you don't just have to read about it - this 7.3 Star-rated eco-designed Rutherglen home is open for inspection this weekend only.
Built by B&H Homes, this new home may be petite in footprint but it is abundant in features.
The newly finished home adheres to B&H Homes principles of "thoughtful design, that is built with precision", director Josh Baker said.
"A 7.3 Star eco-designed home with coastal influence, the unique floor plan challenges the status quo," Mr Baker said.
"It was authentically designed for the owner's lifestyle.
"Unconventional material choices add to the individuality and create features at every angle."
Hoop pine wall cladding creates warmth, honed internal blockwork provides internal mass, silvertop ash fixed board on batten, Colorbond lining and custom doors combine seamlessly.
"The art in this home was making the details look simple," Mr Baker said.
"There is such strength in the simplicity; however, there is a lot going on as it is packed with features.
"It's a special home with a lot of care and detailed consideration to ensure the overall finish appears effortless.
"It's a design style that some may have thought B&H don't build. We obviously do, and have done for decades.
"As a team we love the diversity - delivering every form as good as it can be built."
Honouring simple shapes and modest proportions, the Rutherglen home delivers everything that a modern floor plan requires.
This includes a large butler's pantry, large walk-in wardrobes, oversized showers, a large laundry, ample storage and an oversized garage. Mr Baker said the client relationship was key to the process.
"It was the owner's second time building with B&H," he said.
"One of my favourite features of the home was provided by Peter and Gail themselves - two stunning custom-made doors Peter had made from reclaimed distressed timbers he had collected over the years complete with a re-purposed oar for the door handle, picked up at a garage sale.
"You have to see it! They adorn the building like artwork."
"It's rare to view high-end, one-off homes when they are brand new.
"But it's open to the public for inspection this weekend only."
