Not because he fancies himself as much of an actor but because he is "pretty proud" he got to showcase not only Wahgunyah but the importance of Australian grown and produced food.
The Uncle Tobys employee starred in a recent TV advertisement which showcased the relationship between the international company and the rural town.
The town's unofficial pub, in a hay shed close to town aptly named "the church", along with the farmers and factory workers who contribute to the global brand put their faces and stories on show.
And it got the whole town "buzzing".
Mr Wilson said the Uncle Tobys Plus As real as the people who make it campaign gave the people a glimpse of what it was like "out in the sticks".

The campaign aims to "shine a light on all the things that makes Uncle Tobys Plus great" from its ingredients to its employees and the town of Wahgunyah itself.
"But it also showed the rest of the country that this is good, healthy food that is grown right here not just in my home town but at the home of Uncle Tobys," Mr Wilson said.
"The campaign was all about greatness growing here and it was pretty great that they used real people and real workers to advertise real food.
"I had people coming up to me every day saying they saw the ad and how great it was.
"It was a bit funny to be honest but made me pretty proud to be working for a company that supports us and shows off good Australian workers.
"We are all genuine and it put a bit of a buzz in the factory and across the town."
Mr Wilson was asked to apply for the acting position in the advertisement after his boss said he would be "perfect" for the job.
"I have a bit of an outgoing personality and I thought, yeah why not," he said.
"I have never done anything like it before and it was pretty great to be able to show off not just our home but the home of Uncle Tobys."
Mr Wilson said people could relate to "country folk".
"Everyone knows buying Australian is the best thing to do but to hear from the people the company employs and see what it does to a little old town like Wahgunyah is pretty great and gets people relating to you," he said.
"Like I said in the ad, you can't go to the shop to get bread without spending half an hour talking to everyone here so it is a pretty special place to be and a pretty special place for Australian produce.
"All round it was a great experience."
