Willett teamed up with Laetisha Scanlan to claim the major event at Lonato Del Garda, Italy, on Friday morning.
The pair fired 44 out of 50 in the gold medal match to see off the Russian combination of Luliia Saveleva and Maksim Smykov.

"We've been training very hard back home leading up to this event," Willett said after the final.
"It's great to come away with the win and come away world champions.
"I couldn't be any happier."
Fellow Australians Penny Smith and Thomas Grice rounded out the podium, beating American duo Ashley Carroll and Derek Haldeman for bronze.
The gold medallists qualified second, one behind the Russian pairing with 144 targets.
Willett is currently the top-ranked men's trap shooter in the world.
