FOUR presents interpretations of four National Trust listed sites near Beechworth - Mount Pilot, Murmungee Lookout, Lake Zwarberg and Lake Kerferd.

Created by North East photographers Jerun Terlaak, Erin Davis-Hartwig, Scott Hartvigsen and Nat Ord, the display will be shown at the National Trust of Australia Tasma Terrace Gallery, East Melbourne, until July 28.

The landscapes are significant for their natural and cultural heritage, with the exhibition including aerial photography, traditional landscape and fine art photography.

Terlaak said he chose to capture images "from the sky, looking straight down".

"The result is an entirely different view of the beautiful landscape we know so well," he said.

Ord described FOUR as "a pictorial example of how we all see, interpret and respond differently even when presented with the same theme".

"The project has allowed each of us to explore and respond to these significant sites in our own way and style, but still work together to present a cohesive body of work," she said.

Meet the photographer events on July 27 and 28 will be held as part of Open House Melbourne.

Last November FOUR was a featured exhibition in the Beechworth Arts Council's Spring Arts Festival, with all four artists past or present residents of the area.
