Border Walwa almost snared their first win of the season against last year's grand finalist's Corryong in Upper Murray league netball over the weekend.
It was a lucky one-goal escape for the Demons who just held on for the 39-38 win.
Corryong currently occupy fourth spot in the competition.
Last year's premiers and this season's ladder leaders Cudgewa have kept their perfect record intact after 10 rounds, with a 16-goal win in a top of the table clash against Federal on Saturday.

The game also marked the first back for Blues' shooter Sophie Greenhill since her 73-goal performance back in round six.
Tumbarumba also left with a win during the weekend, defeating Bullioh by nine goals.
Tumbarumba are third while Bullioh slip into the top five with five rounds to be played before finals start.
