Trainer Donna Scott looks to have unearthed a strong contender for next years Country Championships after Galaxy Force notched an impressive win at Wagga on Monday.
Galaxy Force made it two wins from three starts when saluting first-up from a spell in the $22,000 Benchmark 58, Hcp (1000m) with Blaike McDougall aboard.
Despite being trapped four wide for most of the trip, Galaxy Force proved too strong for his rivals in the home straight to win by a length.

Scott said she was confident Galaxy Force could run a strong 1400m and be a Country Championship contender next year.
"If you go on his pedigree I don't think he will have too much trouble extending out to 1400m," Scott said.
"I will set the horse for the Championships and most of the horses in my stable are revolved around heading towards the lucrative feature."
Galaxy Force had two starts earlier in the year and was placed on debut in a $30,000 Showcase maiden at Albury.
The three-year-old won his maiden the following start at Corowa before being sent for a spell.
Galaxy Force was resuming from a 17-week spell on Monday.
Scott is no stranger to Country Championship success with stable star Bennelong Dancer winning the qualifier at Albury this year.
Bennelong Dancer went on to finish third in the final to hand Scott her biggest success so far in her training career.
