The St Matthew's Retro Lane Op Shop aims to be "like a lighthouse" to shine a light on community struggles with homelessness and mental health.

The op shop on Kiewa Street was officially opened by Member for Farrer Sussan Ley on Tuesday and is hoping to be a centre for community action.
St Matthew's Anglican Church Father Peter MacLeod-Miller said the money raised from the op shop will go towards community programs.
"It will be going towards work with homelessness and mental health and we are just one of many agencies in Albury who are reaching out to try and find a community solution to homelessness," he said.
"We have many homeless people and mental health problems in Albury and an op shop like this is a shop front for that sort of challenge and a community working together.

Ms Ley encouraged people to donate to the op shop.
"So my call to action today is to please donate good quality clothing, clean blanket and shoes when you are having the next mini or major clean out of your wardrobe," she said.
"Those who are struggling or those who are sleeping rough really rely on outlets like this.
"The speed in which you can go from a roof over your head and a job to sleeping rough on the streets is quite alarming.
"It can happen to anyone and giving back is vital."
