Wodonga Tennis Centre has remembered long-time committee member Kevin Darmody as one of the founding fathers of the tennis centre after his passing.

In his many years of association with the centre Darmody took on the roles of curator, secretary and manager, as well as running the kiosk alongside wife Margaret.
"He was very well respected within the tennis community," Wodonga Tennis Centre vice-president Leigh Gadd said

"He would have seen a lot of generations of families go through the tennis centre in his time.
"The Darmody family had a strong influence in supporting the community."
His funeral will be held on Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Wodonga.
