A man who allegedly used an ashtray to smash through the front door of Albury's cinema complex has been arrested.

He allegedly broke into the building just after 4am on Friday, July 5 before stealing a number of items.
Police say the man fled to the rear car park and allegedly smashed the front passenger window of a ute.
Officers attended the scene and seized a number of items for forensic examination.
Following an investigation by Albury police, the man was arrested just after 10am on Wednesday and charged with one count of break, enter and steal, and two counts of destroy or damage property.
He was refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court on Thursday.
