"I wanted to illustrate the connection we've got with VFL clubs," he said.

"We'll look at the next bye and see if some of our players might get the opportunity to play."

The Hoppers play the first half of the split round 16 on August 3, potentially allowing a player or players to play for Frankston the following week.

"It was a chance to see which players I see as being ready to play VFL and there's a couple now that would be ready to have a crack," he said.

"And we can act as a home club for a couple of those guys, the more relationships you can build, the better you become as a football club.

"We've got to look at the State level for recruiting, as well as the country leagues."

Muller became the youngest stand-alone coach in league history when he was appointed only eight weeks after his 22^nd birthday.
