Wodonga Raiders lock in Paul Johnson has senior coach for summer

WELCOME ABOARD: Paul Johnson has accepted the offer to coach Wodonga Raiders in CAW Provincial next season. Johnson has previously coached in Sydney grade cricket.
Wodonga Raiders have appointed Paul Johnson as senior coach for the 2019-20 cricket season.
Whilst Johnson would be well known as an umpire for the past few seasons, he has a background in coaching having been a club coach in his own right and helping out with clubs in Sydney grade cricket when his son was playing.
Club stalwart Leigh Clarke is assistant coach, while Ben Stewart will continue as chairman of selectors.

"He (Johnson) is very strong on processes and organisation, which I think will do us well," Stewart said.
"We felt we needed a club flavour to it as well (by appointing Clarke) to make sure the hard work of (former coach) Steve Keene was continued on and help Paul with a bit of an introduction to the club and our facilities.
"We're getting new facilities in the next 12 months, which is pretty exciting."
Johnson will officially meet the club on Sunday.
