The Mount Beauty group was one of 13 recipients of Creative Victoria's small regional presenters grants.
They will use $7530 to present four performances at their community centre from August to October.
Secretary John "Rollo" Kiek said starting with Swansong on Saturday, August 10, there would be something that appeals to all age groups and interests.
"It begins with the actor feeding imaginary swans over the stage, and he talks to you about himself and it develops into a monologue," he said.
"There's a bit of swearing in that - which is why it's 'for a mature audience'.
"Then we have the story of the artist Picasso and his dog Lump.
"Picasso, all his life, didn't like dogs and suddenly this dachshund came along.
"This wooden dachshund puppet is operated by a fellow in black, and before you know it, you've forgotten about him.
"It's a riot."
Mr Kiek can vouch for the shows, having received a sneak peak last May.
"Regional Arts Victoria, with whom we're affiliated, have a showcase and we send some people down to have a look," he said.
"There's usually 10 minute-sections of about 30 performances - everything from circus, ballet, comedy, you-name-it.
