A man facing a series of hearings and possible trials over offences ranging from police pursuits to carjacking has decided to abandon several hearings.

Trevor Barrett remains in custody bail refused over the string of serious police allegations.
And when his matters went before Albury Local Court this week, Barrett decided against appearing via a video link to jail.
Instead, his lawyer, Rohan Harrison, updated the court on what was happening with Barrett's charges.
Magistrate Rodney Brender adjourned three committal matters to Tuesday.
But these are not the only cases involving Barrett before the court.
Mr Harrison said Barrett had four separate hearings set down for next Thursday and Friday, July 25 and 26.

But he said three of these sets of allegations "have been resolved" and so would involve guilty pleas on agreed sets of facts.
One hearing though, he said, would still go ahead.
Barrett, 20, has denied he carried out the carjacking, in which it is alleged he pointed a shotgun at the driver.
The series of serious matters leveled against him include police claims of armed robbery, aggravated break and enter and stealing cars.
In a previous mention of the matters, police made the allegations that "in order to obtain vehicles and mobile phones he has resorted to robbery with arms, terrifying the community".
Barrett has been in custody since December 11, which was when he was arrested in Springdale Heights following an extensive police search involving officers drawn from right across the region as well as Sydney.
While he is contesting charges including aggravated carjacking and driving a vehicle at police to avoid arrest, he has pleaded guilty to other matters.
The latter involve several counts of enter a vehicle without consent.
The first incident occurred in late October, while others were on November 19 - the same day Barrett is alleged to have committed the more serious criminal matters - and November 20.
One had Barrett ransacking a car taken from a Lavington driveway.
