A MAN in his 70s driving a Subaru packed full of luggage has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash south of Chiltern yesterday.

The driver of the Subaru with Tasmanian plates was going north on the Hume Freeway when a silver Toyota Camry turning onto the freeway collided with his car.
The female driver of the Toyota, 84, was turning from Wenkes Road, Rutherglen Sergeant Brian Curran said.
"A vehicle has been waiting at the intersection here at Wenkes Road, has turned into oncoming traffic in the freeway, and the other vehicle has collided with them," he said.
A woman, 84, has been taken to Wangaratta hospital while the driver of the other car has been taken to Albury hospital.
