Last weekend's win against CSU was exactly what the Steamers' needed as they cling to the hope of making the top four with four games left to be played in the Southern Inland Rugby Union competition before finals.
Steamers' coach Paul Musarra said the side will have to tackle every game from here on out as if it were a grand final.
"They (Tumut) are in the same position, so they'll throw everything at us," Musarra said.
"It's like a grand final every week for them and us, so it should be a really good game.
"Let's hope the results go our way this week."
ALSO IN SPORT:
The Steamers' struggled through last weekend extremely undermanned due to injury, illness or other commitments as players stepped up into the senior side, but they look to have a number of key players back on the field this weekend.
Ryan O'Sullivan is set to be a big boost in the forward pack in his return, while front rower Tim Carroll looks to play his first game in six weeks.
Blake Le Cornu and Tom Wilmore are also hopeful inclusions for the clash.
The rest of the Southern Inland Rugby Union season will see the Steamers' take on Wagga City, WAC and the Waratahs for the third time this season.
The Albury-Wodonga Steamers and Tumut will meet in Tumut on Saturday.
