Corowa Distilling Co and DC on the Lake at Mulwala are flying the flag for Federation Council, and will be recognised at a gala dinner next Saturday in Dubbo.
Deb O'Callaghan has owned her tourist park for 14 years and has endured extreme weather events.
"We continue to build the business, certainly the challenge is to keep the tourists coming when the conditions aren't perhaps ideal," she said.
"But if you can provide a really good guest experience, and make people feel welcome, they will continue to come back."
Corowa Distilling Co managing director Dean Druce said there was a lot of untapped potential in the region.
"Corowa needs a bit more time on the map - it has so much to offer," he said.
"We've been up to some interesting things and two years ago we were nominated as the best future distillery in the world, with some of the leading distilleries out there.
"We're more than just a distillery ... we make chocolate, our cellar door is here, it's a heritage listed building that's 100 years old and it's a mixture of these things that makes for a perfect storm."
