After beating Goulburn at home last week, the Border outfit saw off North Canberra Eagles 3-0 at Canberra's Carter field to continue their strong run of form.

Jackleene Macarthur, Kate Reynolds and Hayley Hutchinson found the back of the net for the Spitfires.

Meanwhile, it was a tough weekend for the Spitfires men who lost both matches in their double-header away to Goulburn.

Saturday saw the Spitfires go down 6-2, as Goulburn's Ben and Jake Staines finished with five goals between them.

Tim Jones and Larry Simpson were on target for the Spitfires.

It didn't get any easier on Sunday, with Goulburn recording a 7-2 victory.

Ben Staines knocked in another four goals to add his three from Saturday, while former Kookaburra Glenn Turner netted a double.

Matt Mills and Charley Wallace scored for the Spitfires.

Old Canberrans cruised past United 7-1 on Saturday to push the Spitfires outside the top-four with just five games to play.
