After finishing the regular season with a top two spot, the Bulldogs will now have a second chance of sliding into the grand final when they meet Lavington Panthers in a preliminary final this weekend.
The Panthers' posted a convincing 56-point win against the Alpine Lions to send them packing on the weekend.

If Thurgoona win this weekend the competition will be set for a 2018 grand final replay between Thurgoona and Wodonga Raiders.
The competition's preliminary final between Thurgoona Bulldogs and Lavington Panthers will be played this Sunday at Barkly Park, with the game kicking off at 12:30pm.
