Star midfielder Gauthier Robin has been joined by striker Maxime Spazzini and the pair will look to form a lethal combination for the Greens in the final five rounds and into the cup finals.
Spazzini has been on the Border for close to a month, but only received international clearance to play last weekend.
The talented Frenchman scored on debut in United's 3-0 win against Twin City.
"I enjoyed the first goal because there was a lot of problems with my (international) clearance back in France," Spazzini said.
"It was a long month, so I'm very happy to play with my team and my coach.
"I wasn't ready for the physicality and wasn't fit enough, but I think I'll get better week after week.
"I'm going to train hard to get ready for the finals and hopefully make a difference for my teammates."
Spazzini added he's even more motivated to perform well against Albury City in the derby at Jelbart Park on Sunday.
United got the better of their arch rivals 2-1 in the previous meeting this season and there's huge hype around the return fixture.
ALSO IN SPORT:
Robin is delighted to be playing alongside his countryman.
"We have a mutual friend, so we talked together and my friend told me Max is at a good level," Robin said.
"It's better for us in the game because we can talk and nobody can understand us (laughs).
"In France, we have some words we can't say in English."
Coach Steve McLennan has been just as happy with what the Frenchmen have provided off the pitch.
"Everyone is whinging about how much money do they get paid, but it doesn't come down to that," McLennan said.
"Max has been with me nearly a month and I pay for everything for him. It's like billeting in the earlier days when you took kids in to help them out.
"If he goes out for tea, it's just an extra person you have to feed.
"You've got to bring them into that family environment.
"That's what these guys bring too and it helps them on the pitch as well. They're fantastic."
McLennan is unsure if Robin and Spazzini will stay for a second season given the quality they have to offer.
"I'll never stop anyone from going on to bigger and better things," he said.
"There's players that want to come to Australia, be accommodated and work.
"Every club can do this. It's what you want to give to look after these guys."
