The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show and Canberra's Floriade are among the biggest events of their kind in Australia and Albury Council will use its renowned Botanic Gardens as the venue for its maiden Gardenesque event in October.
Exhibition and retail space will be created for up to 40 stalls with the festival attempting to woo high quality exhibitors from the region to highlight products and services and engage with visitors at the two-day event on October 12-13.

"If you're a young, aspirational gardener or a more experienced and avid lover of plants, trees and flowers, you won't want to miss Gardenesque." Albury Council events team leader Ros Walls said.
"Set across two days in spring, our magnificent Botanic Gardens will be a buzzing atmosphere filled with beautiful spring blooms, stunning floral and garden designs and interactive spaces you can touch, smell, eat and explore with friends and family.
"Enjoy delicious food and wine, music from local and featured artists, roving bugs and flowers that intrigue and delight."
The Botanic Gardens were opened in 1877 and each year attract 300,000 people, according to the council.
Gardenesque is still in the development stages with the event hoped to attract to 10,000 people in its first year.
A full program and pre-event ticket sales will be released in coming weeks.
"Food stall sites are limited and will be assessed on suitability and product range," Ms Walls said.
"Vendors must commit to servicing across the two-day event."
