It will be the first time a final has been scheduled away from Walbundrie, barring four last-minute switched matches, since it became league headquarters in 1972.
League delegates voted 9-3 in favour of the move at a recent meeting with only Henty, Billabong Crows and Rand-Walbundrie-Walla opposed to the shift.
League president Brendan I'Anson said clubs wanted the give the Walbundrie surface a break in the middle of the finals series.
This year's game will be a trial and then we will take it from there

"The idea is to protect the ground from being overused," I'Anson said.
"It has nothing to do with facilities at Walbundrie, it's about protecting the surface.
"This year's game will be a trial and then we will take it from there.
"It still has to be ticked off by the board, but the clubs were fairly strong about it."
Henty (two), Culcairn and Walla have hosted matches since 1972 after league officials moved games during the finals series due to downpours.
IN OTHER SPORT NEWS:
I'Anson said the Hume league would meet with Murray Magpies officials in coming weeks to fine tune the logistics of the day.
The Magpies have made significant upgrades to their clubrooms and netball courts in recent seasons.
Financially, the worst result for the league would be if outlying clubs Lockhart, Billabong Crows or Osborne played in the senior match.
Rand-Walbundrie-Walla co-president Chris Collins declined to comment on the vote.
