With both clubs being touched by organ donation in recent seasons, Cat president Greg Lumby said it was an important day on the calendar.
"Both sides have had jumpers and dresses designed for the games this year," Lumby said.
"It's all about raising awareness.
"We lost Jess McLennan a few years ago and she donated and Sharlene De Amyand from Tallangatta received a liver transplant so it's touched both clubs.
"The organ donation people will be at the ground on Saturday."
Funds will be raised on the day for the Jess McLennan Nursing Scholarship.
Saturday's match will be played at Rutherglen's Barkly Park with the Hoppers desperate for victory to consolidate their hold on fifth position.
