Or how your wine gets from the vat to the bottle?
Chances are the credit goes to a Turret coupling.
Designed to ensure there is no leakage or spillage, these couplings are suitable for both liquid and gas.
When connected to bulk beverage containers, like a keg or vat, the contents become pressurised to flow to the relevant dispensing system. Turret Couplings have been around since the 1950s and are so named as the first components were manufactured on a Turret lathe.
"Albury Precision Engineering is always on the look out to incorporate quality items into their range of products and services," production manager Samantha Caldwell said.
"Over the years they've included Tristream folding propellers, Formula Ford & Vee racing wheels as well as the iconic Crump Spreader range, to name but a few.
"It comes as no surprise that they've now added Turret Couplings to the list of quality items that are sold nationally as well as overseas."
Don't assume the couplings are just for pubs and clubs. Microbreweries, wineries as well as the home brewer are catered for as well.
"You can be certain that the couplings will continue to be manufactured in Australia to provide a quality fitting when the cheaper options just won't do the job. It also means that they're now made locally which has provided extra jobs in the area," she said.
