The 25-year-old Albury man, who has kept his job over the incident, was interview by Tallangatta police and has been released pending summons.
A Victoria police spokesman said police spoke to the driver following a report of "erratic driving in Tallangatta" on July 25.

The driver was caught on a truck driver's dash cam footage attempting to overtake two trucks on the Murray Valley Highway, before swerving onto the side of the road narrowly missing an oncoming ute.
"The incident allegedly occurred on the Murray Valley Highway at about 8.30am," the spokesman said.
The footage has been viewed more than 46,000 times on Facebook.
