STARS is the NSW Schools Spectacular theme this year, with more than 5500 young stars drawn from public schools across NSW.
Creative director Sonja Sjolander said there would be 40 featured performers, a 100-piece symphony orchestra, stage band, 2700-voice choir, 2300 dancers, the D'Arts Ensemble disability program, the Aboriginal Dance Company and puppets.
"Our students love to be a part of Schools Spectacular and audiences just love their performances," she said.
"It's a joy to see their faces light up with pride and achievement as they perform."
The show will include a range of choreographed music from pop and hip hop to the classics, with massed voices, solos and a variety of dance styles.
"There truly are so many things to delight everybody," Ms Sjolander said.
