The division two men's outfit fell to Newcastle 92-84 in Albury on Saturday night, while the division one women's team was defeated by Central Coast Crusaders 72-61.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Centre Chloe Storer led the Bandits' scoring with 14 points from shooting guard Grace Turner and small forward Charlotte Beaven (13 apiece), while Ruby Watson was superb in defence.
"We're the youngest team in the league, we've got a core of 13 to 15-year-olds and three NBL 1 players around 17 and 18 and every team is significantly older," coach Rho Fry said.
"We never even expected to make the playoffs, so we've exceeded our expectations."
Guard Mitch Donovan posted 23 points, while forward Bailey Lloyd chipped in with 19.
"I think in the second half it came down to execution on the offensive end," Bandits' coach Stephen Gibbs said.
"We just failed to make a shot, we just dried up in the end and we started to force some shots, they started to make a few and that was the difference in the end, they executed a little better."
It was the first year in the league for the club.
"The boys represented the Albury and Wodonga Basketball Associations and the community really well," Gibbs said.
"They should be proud of what they've done."
Both teams finished third in the regular season.
