The ARIA award-winning country star met up with "Bumpa" at his farm on Friday, August 2 to film the video clip for Hayrunner, the fifth song on her new album Raindance.

Storer said Brendan was an "absolute champion" to allow both herself and the production crew on-farm for the filming.

"It feels so much more real and genuine to do the filming there," she said.

"The Burrumbuttock Hay Runners also very kindly gave us heaps of footage of all the beautiful places they have been on their hay runs."

Storer said Hayrunner was a tribute to everyone who had been part of making the hay runs happen.

But she said it was Brendan's impassioned video post about a farmer friend who took his life in 2018 that became the basis for the "facts and emotion of the song".

"I don't write a lot - and only when I am moved by something," Storer said.

"Brendan told me he loved the song and really appreciated it.

"As a songwriter that's a huge buzz because you want it to mean something.

"That's what music is all about - sending messages through song."
