In his new film 2040, Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) explores what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet.
Structured as a visual letter to his daughter, 4, Gameau blends documentary with high-end visual effects to create a bold vision board.
The film follows an aspirational journey to discover what the future could look like in 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions, we have available to naturally heal the environment around us.
From the interconnected solar grids of Bangladesh to search engines and biodegradable paper coffee cups with embedded seeds to help plant more trees, it is a documentary that shows the future is already in our hands.
