Coffee in Space at La Trobe University Albury-Wodonga campus will consider the challenges of brewing coffee under any conditions.
La Trobe University physicist Dr David Hoxley and other experts will deliberate over how to grind coffee beans in zero-gravity conditions and how to drink a floating ball of hot coffee.
Dr Hoxley and Dr Monika Fekete (Coffee Science Lab) will demystify the science behind coffee during a public lecture.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OUR REGION:
Dr Hoxley said Coffee in Space came from a passion to make science more accessible to everyone.
"Coffee in Space will show students and coffee connoisseurs alike that with a little bit of science, and a lot of passion, it could be possible to enjoy a cup of coffee anywhere in the galaxy," he said.
Running during National Science Week, Coffee in Space will also visit the Arts Centre Melbourne on Sunday.
