The Australasian 21st Century Blues Brothers Tribute Show adds a new perspective and gives a different twist on the movies and live shows. The show honours the late, great Jake Blues, with brother Zee taking lead and Elwood along for the ride! Joining them is the feisty Ellie (soon to be Elliewood) as Jake's long-lost daughter and Twiggy as the backing singer with attitude. They've got a full packet of cigarettes, half a tank of gas, sunglasses on, and they're on a mission from God! Cost: Free
GROOVE TRAIN

This Border-based four-piece electric band plays all the best bits from your vinyl collection. From Coltrane to Soultrain, this is engaging, fun and entertaining music, all with a twist. Band members Caz Higgs, Phillip Stone, Graeme Cook and Kevin McGrath are just at home at an outdoor festival as at a mid-winter indoors gig. Slip down to the Commercial Club for a relaxing night out.

Stock up on seasonal fruit and vegetables at the farmers' market in Gateway Village this weekend. Think pumpkin, leeks, potatoes and winter greens to enliven nourishing soups and comfort food dishes. You should also check out market newcomer Six Spicy Spoons. Their Sri Lankan street food will fill your belly and warm your soul. The curry paste and date chutney are gluten, dairy and preservative-free. Really can't recommend the handmade samosas highly enough!

Melbourne band Southbound Snake Charmers are northbound. Its next gig is a bluesy Sunday afternoon at The Highway 31 Blues Music Club in East Albury. The dynamic trio have been offering their own brand of raw, rocking blues since 2013.
