With Wangaratta just edging out Myrtleford for the number one position on the ladder by two points, the top of the table encounter could see a shift in the competition depending on the result.
Stephens said the Savoy's are looking forward to the challenge that awaits them this weekend.
"Everyone loves to play in these sorts of games and obviously the season is on the line this weekend," Stephens said.
"Everyone's pumped and looking forward to it, there's a really good energy around the club."
Stephens is set to return to the field this weekend after being sidelined for five weeks due to ligament damage to his ankle.
Stephens sustained the ankle injury during the Savoy's clash against Twin City.

"It's been pretty frustrating, but obviously it's been really nice to be able to see the boys get the results week in and week out," Stephens said.
"If they hadn't then we wouldn't be in the position we are now.
"I'm really happy that everyone's been able to get the job done."
Wangaratta are coming off the back a huge 7-0 thumping of Albury City last weekend, with the team's guns in full form during the win.
Stephens admitted one of the hardest tasks for the Savoy's on Sunday will be trying to shut down the likes of Wangaratta's Andy Barisic, Adam Burchell and Thomas Romero.
"They're obviously three good players, so you can't have a specific plan for just one of them," Stephens said.
"You have to worry about all three.
"We haven't seen him (Barasic) yet, he didn't play against us last time.
"We've heard that he obviously has a lot of class and played at such a high level.
"I think he'll link up well with Thomas and Burchell.
"We'll stick to our guns and hopefully between the back and the midfield we'll get the job done and keep them quiet."
Myrtleford and Wangaratta will battle it out on Sunday at 3pm at Wangaratta Reserve.
The other Albury-Wodonga Football Association round 20 men's game across the weekend will see Wodonga Diamonds take on Albury United, St Pats clash with Twin City, Albury Hotspurs to meet Boomers, Albury City to battle it out with Cobram and Wodonga Heart to come up against Melrose.
After this weekend just two rounds remain for the competition before the cup finals start to get underway, with the race to take out the league title on.
