Police are continuing to investigate after 68-year-old man died following an accident at Thredbo on Saturday.

The South Australian man was skiing with friends, when at about 10.15am on Saturday he was caught by a low-hanging tree branch.
He struck the branch with such force that he was not able to be revived at the scene.
A report will be detailed for the Coroner, and police attached to Monaro District will continue to examine the scene.
An investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

The ski fields around Thredbo have received up to 20 centimetres of snowfall in the last two days, with that likely to increase overnight.
Snow-goers are expected to flock to the region over the next week, and police have issued a reminder to stay safe and be aware of surroundings on the fields.
