Landholders in the Riverina have until August 30 to submit expressions of interest to work alongside Riverina Local Land Services on projects across the region.

Land services manager Andrew Lieschke said the projects focus on a range of restoration activities that protect and restore threatened species and ecological communities across the Riverina, as well as benefiting agricultural production.
"The projects aim to increase farm productivity along with achieving biodiversity outcomes," he said.
"Some of these projects have very specific areas so I urge any landholders interested in working with us to visit our website or contact us to see if they are able to apply."
The projects available include paddock shade and shelter with incentives available to landholders to take positive actions to protect, restore and establish native paddock trees.

The farm dams for biodiversity project will work with farmers to improve the water quality and biodiversity values of farm dams as well as improve grazing management adjacent to the dam.
Funding is also available for works that promote habitat and the protection of Squirrel Gliders, including revegetation and fencing.
Incentives are available to assist landholders to improve the long-term viability of nationally endangered Swift Parrot's and co-occurring threatened species through the planting of habitat and protection of mature feed trees.
The landholder training - saving dollars, making sense project is designed to assist landholders to undertake training courses in a group environment.
