Pop star Amy Shark has added a second show to her Border schedule after tickets to her first performance sold out in just 10 minutes.
The ARIA award-winner will now perform at The Cube in Wodonga on Thursday, October 31 in addition to the show she had scheduled for Friday, November 1.
Based between the Gold Coast and the US, Shark will bring her critically-acclaimed debut album LoveMonster and hits from her EP Night Thinker to regional fans across the country.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"I've had so much support from regional fans hitting me up to come play for them," she said.
"So many parts of regional Australia have backed me since my first Night Thinker EP."
Shark's hit single I Said Hi, which was a statement for those who told her she'd never make it in the music industry, gained high rotation across commercial and alternative stations.
Tickets for the October 31 show go on sale on Friday at www.thecubewodonga.com.au from 9am.
Born on the Gold Coast, Shark worked for Gold Coast Titans as a video editor until late 2016.
She changed her married name Amy Louise Billings in 2013 to stage name Amy Shark, which reflected her love of the movie Jaws.
"I was a big Jaws fan and Peter Benchley (screenplay) and sharks in general," she said.
