Teenager Brooke King will contest the World Deaf Swimming Championships in Sao Paulo later this month.

The 14-year-old is ranked number five in the world, at open level, in the 200m freestyle and will contest up to eight events.
"Brooke's been doing six sessions a week and that's where she needs to be at world standard," coach Wayne Gould said.

King came through the Gould Swim Academy system and now competes for Albury Swimming Club over summer.
"This will be a fantastic step in the right direction and she'll gain unbelievable experience over there," Gould said.
King is the daughter of John King, who represented Australia in triathlon at the Deaflympics and also the world titles in 2006.
"He's probably one of the standouts that pushes her along and keeps her motivated," Gould said.
King will also contest the 50m backstroke after finishing fourth in the nationals.
