Lavington's Luke Garland kicked the match winning goal for the Panthers in what was one of the games of the season against Myrtleford, while over on the netball court the Panthers also secured a win in a one-goal thriller.
Wahgunyah were just in time to claim a win for the season in Tallangatta league football, while in Hume league netball Jindera found themselves bolstered to second spot after a win against Howlong.
