Five Holbrook identities braved the elements to take on the ice slide in the township's 'Don't Drop The Ball On Health' fundraiser last Sunday.
Matt Sharp, Carla Black, Lea Parker, Anthony Churchill, Darkie Barr-Smith and Reon Holmes hit the water in style.
Organisers were thrilled with the day with about 500 people turning out to raise money for Bowel Cancer Australia, Research 4 Riney, Albury-Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre and FightMND.
RACE AGAINST TIME
One leading Hume league boundary umpire is struggling to be fit for the finals.
The competition stalwart injured his ribs during a farm accident and then over-stretched his groin while dancing Nutbush City Limits with his wife at a wedding reception last Friday night.
It will be a bitter pill to swallow for the veteran if he can't get himself right as he prides himself on his performances in September.
PRIOR JUST MISSES 20
Culcairn full-forward Adam Prior missed a shot after the final siren to bring up his 20th goal against Murray Magpies last weekend.
The former Ovens and Murray star, who finished with 19.6, sprayed a set shot from about 40-metres.
Former Lion Shannon Barber holds the league record after kicking 24 against Burrumbuttock in 1993.
Prior needs nine goals against Lockhart on Saturday to bring up his century.
