Yearned for the catwalk, but never had the chance?
Border and North East residents 65 years or over are sought for a fashion parade that will launch Embolden, a national festival to challenge ageism and promote respect for older people.
Wodonga advocate Maria Berry said unlike last year's inaugural event, the 2019 fashion parade did not have any North East models so far, although Border real estate agent Des Lonergan would be a compere.

"It's really important to keep the rural voice going at this national event, it's not just about metropolitan," Mrs Berry said.
She encouraged people to take part in the festival, which begins in St Kilda on Sunday, September 1, and continues until Tuesday.
"It has really gained momentum this year in that there's a lot of national and even international interest in the festival because there's been nothing done like this before," she said.
"It's just a call-out for any support we can get."
