But it came at a cost for Wodonga Raiders who slid to sixth allowing Albury to swoop in and guarantee themselves a finals berth.
Raiders suffered a five goal loss to North Albury in the final round at Bunton Park, while at the Sportsground the Tigers defeated Myrtleford by 20 goals.
Albury were without the competition's most accurate shooter Jess Fisher-Curnow with coach Sarah Moore taking to the court in her place.
Moore agreed the game felt like a final as the Tigers dug deep in the hopes of guaranteeing their spot.
"We didn't want to rely on Raiders losing for us to get in so we were just trying to push as hard as we could percentage wise," Moore said.
"I really think the girls deserve to be in that top five position and over the last few games they've really shown the quality of netball they can play.
"They're just firing at the moment.
"Credit to Myrtleford though, they didn't lie down and kept fighting."

Moore is looking forward to steering the Tigers through finals in her first year at the helm, with the side experiencing a major shake up from last season.

"Only retaining three players from last year was always going to be tough."
"I couldn't have picked the four girls who have come into this A-grade side any better because they've done everything I thought they would."

Mia Duryea, Tamika Wholohan and Tayla Vogel were all solid contributors for the Hoppers in their win, while Vashti Muller and Blaynee House worked tirelessly for Raiders.
