In a huge coup for the club, Neagle and his youngest brother, Jaxon, have opted to part company with Central District after one year in the SANFL.
Jydon averaged 17 possessions in 17 matches for Central District as a forward-midfielder while Jaxon played 12 senior matches in one of the best competitions in the country.
Matt Neagle, who played 10 matches in an injury-hit season, is likely to stay in South Australia.
Jydon had been targeted by several inter-state clubs but was keen to return to the club where he launched his decorated Ovens and Murray career.
He will miss the opening two rounds next season after accepting an early guilty plea for engaging in rough conduct with Port's Peter Ladhams last weekend.
First-year coach Jarrod Hodgkin will also defy the critics on Sunday by leading the Raiders into an elimination final against Myrtleford at Albury Sportsground.
The club was widely written off after losing key players Raven Jolliffe, Jackson Kelly, Tom McCaffrey, Nick Murray and the Neagle brothers at the start of the season.
"We were right in those games and took confidence out of them," Boxall said.
"They could have went either way.
"We had injuries both times as well. We're looking forward to Sunday."
