Member football, netball, bowls and cricket clubs this week were informed of the board's plans to seek an expression of interest to amalgamate with another club.

General manager Phil Bragg, who has been in the position for less than two months, said it hadn't been an "overnight decision" to seek a merger partner and hoped a similar arrangement could be struck as happened in the early 2000s when the Liverpool Catholic Club in Sydney took over Thurgoona Golf Club.
"Nothing is off the table," he said.
"It would be good to have another club in town to merge with, but whether that happens or not is a matter for them.
"The board has made the right decision here.
"The horse hasn't bolted, but the place needs an injection of capital."
The EOI will be open for a month with Clubs NSW informed of the move.
Member sporting clubs were informed the June quarter had delivered a poor financial result.
"The appetite (for mergers) is not strong, but there is an opportunity for a bigger club to make money here," Mr Bragg said.
He has worked in the licenced clubs industry for more than two decades in the Newcastle and Sydney areas.
If a merger partner can be found only a simple majority vote is required by the memberships of both clubs to advance to entering into a deed of company arrangement.
In the 2014 rescue deal, Albury Council agreed to purchase the club's carpark before the council agreed to a land exchange with the Catholic Church involving a block of land opposite Bunton Park in Alemein Avenue which is used for parking on match days.
The church also acquired a property in Tristan Court in exchange for its land in Corrys Road where the Thurgoona Men's Shed will establish a permanent home at some stage in the future.
Members were also called onto provide $130,000 in pledges to ensure the sports club stayed afloat.
Bunton Park is home to the North Albury senior and junior football and netball clubs with lighting and drainage upgrades earmarked as priorities in the master-plan.
Other improvements include relocating cricket nets and a second netball court.
