THURGOONA coach Brett Doswell has scoffed at suggestions that a perceived lack of leg speed could prove to be the undoing of the Bulldogs during the finals series.

Rival clubs have been eager to face the Bulldogs on the wide expanses of Sandy Creek with the popular theory they are old and slow.
The Bulldogs made a mockery of the theory against Barnawartha in the second semi-final last weekend after an emphatic 31 point victory.
The raging flag favourites now have the week off to freshen-up before facing either Barnawartha or Kiewa Sandy Creek in the decider.
"Yeah, we've been hearing that we are old and slow all year," Doswell said.
"To be honest, I don't know where it is coming from.
"Obviously we do have some old bodies and naturally that's what people think.
"But we have got some great users of the football and certainly have got some pace in the side as well.
"We are not worried by the outside noise.
"We just go out there and play our style and I don't think too many people would have thought we looked slow today."
The Bulldogs appeared to escape relatively unscathed on the injury front.
Defender Charlie Williams suffered a broken nose but is no chance of missing the decider.
The Bulldogs dropped high-profile recruits Jesse Johnston and Matt Murray at selection before the second semi-final.
The pair both performed well in the reserves to remain in the mix for senior selection in the decider.
Livewire Matt Hodoras is also expected to come under consideration.
"It was a hard decision to leave players the calibre of Jesse Johnston and Matt Murray out of the side," he said.
"The positive is we have got such a good list to choose from.
"Both Jesse and Matt took the news really well and came out and performed in the reserves.
"We will have a look at who we are playing before finalising our side."
