John Wayne Payne has been sentenced to four years and six months' jail over the incident, which left the 16-year-old victim with serious leg injuries from the "significant impact" he suffered.
Payne was refused bail when he first fronted Albury Local Court last August.
IN OTHER NEWS:
District Court judge Michael King ordered Payne, 24, serve a non-parole period of two years, giving him a release date of August 3, 2020, on a charge of aggravated robbery with wounding and grievous bodily harm.
Payne was convicted, though no additional sentence imposed, on a charge of demand property in company.
Last year magistrate Rodney Brender knocked-back the bail application by Payne - who appeared immune to the seriousness of the allegations, laughing, smiling and waving to his girlfriend from the court dock - because "he was seen to grab him and push him in the face of an oncoming vehicle".
One of Payne's two accomplices, Jake James McEwan, previously was sentenced by Mr Brender to 12 months' jail, with a non-parole period of nine months.
He was released on March 20.
The teenager suffered a fractured left knee, fractured left leg and abrasions to his hands and face. His right leg was severely lacerated.
The three victims - the other two were a girl, 14, and a woman, then 20 - were walking along Mate Street on June 11, 2018, about 8.45pm when they saw a group of three men walking towards them.
One was carrying a large stick.
Once they got in front of a bakery near the intersection of Glenly Street, Payne grabbed the girl in a bear hug and told her: "Give me your f ... ing phone."
She initially refused then on another demand, relented.
Payne then grabbed the boy, dragged him to a traffic island in the middle of the road, demanded his wallet and phone and punched him.
He then pushed the boy into traffic.
As this happened, the third offender grabbed the woman by the front of her T-shirt and punched her several times to the face.
